Description: Did you know that custom micro quilting for miniature quilts can be achieved on a longarm machine? Scaling everything down into a miniature quilt can be challenging, especially the custom freemotion quilting. Students will learn about the appropriate thread, needle and quilting mode to use, best posture and machine settings to apply and how to scale down any design drastically and stitch out successfully where individual stitches are still visible. A great challenge for the more advanced quilter. One student per longarm frame machine will allow for maximum stitching time during this compact 3 hour class with achievable results and a class sample to take home.

Description: In this class, we delve into the fascinating realm of color and value manipulation, demonstrating how these two elements can transform a single block into a visually striking quilt.
Utilizing a primary background fabric sourced from a single piece of ombre yardage, students are guided through a methodical process of extracting dark, medium, and light values from the fabric. This approach not only expedites the quilt-making process but also infuses the design with an inherent sense of drama and allure. Vibrant pops of color are introduced through scrap fabrics, further enhancing the quilt’s visual impact.
Whether you’re already proficient in paper piecing or looking to refine your skills, this class offers invaluable insights and techniques. Participants will learn practical paper piecing hacks, gaining newfound confidence in their abilities and mastery of both paper piecing and color placement principles by the end of the session.
